#7 Buffalo Sabres vs #2 Philadelphia Flyers (1-0)
Ryan Miller stole thing game. No doubt about it. The Flyers were given six power plays, and pumped 35 shots on net, but still Miller and the Sabres prevailed. Look at what I predicted, Miller can steal this series and it's starting to look like he will do so. Look for the Flyers to come back in Game 2 with a new strategy to beat Miller.
#6 Montreal Canadiens vs #3 Boston Bruins (2-0)
Carey Price beat the Bruins. He brought his A game and Timmy Thomas's defense couldn't help him. Turnovers are a big part of why the Bruins lost. They couldn't keep a handle on the puck and made mistakes that cost them. Look for their defense to improve for the second game and shut down Brian Gionta from here on out.
#7 Los Angeles Kings vs #2 San Jose Sharks
Well, I didn't expect this game to go into overtime, but it did. Justin Williams is back and healthy and going to make this series difficult for the Sharks to advance. I still expect them to advance, and if last night is any indication, these are not the same Sharks that consistently flop in the playoffs, they're here to stay and win. Joe Pavelski scored his 3rd playoff game winner late into the first overtime to end what has been a crazy set of game 1's so far.
