So, here's my thoughts on today's match-ups. I don't know all the injuries yet, but I will update as soon as I find out. Also, I'll throw in my prediction of the game with the score and all.
#2 Philadelphia Flyers vs #7 Buffalo Sabres
Who will start in net for the Flyers? That is the big question. Bobrovsky got wrecked by the Sabres in game 2, although some of the blame could be shifted to his defense for putting them in odd-man situations and as a result, Bobrovsky getting exploited. The defense of the Flyers settled after Bobrovsky was pulled. This game is going to be played in HSBC Arena, where Ryan Miller and his team can dominate.
My prediction: Sabres win 3-1
#3 Boston Bruins vs #6 Montreal Canadiens
There is absolutely no way the Bruins can lose this game. That's it. Regardless of whether Chara plays or not, there's no way they can lose. Tim Thomas will have to play out of his mind and his defense will actually have to mark up around the net to avoid the lapses that doomed them in game 2
My predictions: Bruins win 3-2
#4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs #5 Tampa Bay Lightning
The Penguins are a roller-coaster, they have high points, and low points. Game 1 was a high, game 2 was a low, pretty sure, on the road, Tampa wins this one, but there will be fireworks
Lightning win 4-2
#3 Detroit Red Wings vs #6 Phoenix Coyotoes
Ilya will play out of his mind back home in Arizona (are they even based in Phoenix?) Anyways, the Coyotes have figured out how to score and Howard has looked shaky, so....
My prediction: Coyotes win 4-3 in overtime
