Looking ahead to Wednesday's games....

So there's nobody that's going to be five games tonight! Damn! That's awesome! Anyways, the home team is down in every series in the East. In the west, we have one team on the brink and another that has the lower seed with home ice advantage. Anyways, I wanna come back from work and see some fireworks because I won't be able to see the games while I am (ironically) officiating hockey. Anyways...

#1 Washington Capitals vs #8 New York Rangers
I think the Caps are going to come out on top after their play in Game 3. As long as they don't commit penalties and Neuvirth plays another strong game without fluky goals, I believe the Capitals will win this. There's no injuries or news to report of coming in, other than Gabby ripping on MSG. Actually, Mike Knuble hasn't practiced and might not play tomorrow, which would mean that Semin or somebody else is moving up to RW and one of the scratches (most likely Fehr) will be playing.
Prediction: Caps win 3-1

#4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs #5 Tampa Bay Lightning
Steve Downie and Chris Kunitz will both be up in their respective press boxes as this is a must-win for Tampa as they can't go back to Pittsburgh down 3-1. Stamkos will have to find his scoring touch and put some pucks in the net if the Lightning want to level this series at 2. They can't rely on the French Connection of Lecavalier, St. Louis, and Gagne. Speaking of Gagne, he's fine after the elbow. Both goalies have given up seven goals in the series and it'll be up to them to decide who's going to have the better GAA heading back to Pittsburgh.
Prediction: Lightning win 3-2

#2 Philadelphia Flyers vs #7 Buffalo Sabres
Remember how I said Danny Briere has been the X-Factor in this series? He's scored when the score is tied to give the Flyers a lead they never relinquish. If he scores again, the Flyers will win. Ryan Miller needs to bring his game from Game 1 and this defense needs to play like they did in Game 1. There's been too many mistakes and too many odd-man situations that the Sabres should be able to fix. If not, it'll be a disappointing exit for the Sabres as they go back to Philly down 3-1.
Prediction: Sabres 2-1

#4 Anaheim Ducks vs #5 Nashville Predators
THIS is going to be the game of the night. We have seen almost everything in this series. The top center on each team duking it out, Bobby Ryan stomping on a skate of a Preds defenseman, Teemu playing like he's 15 years younger than he actually is, and Mike Fisher playing like a beast! The most telling statistic in this series is that the team that scores first has won each game. Also, Pekka Rinne is due for a monster game at home.
Prediction: Predators 4-1

#3 Detroit Red Wings vs #6 Phoenix Coyotes
Will Phoenix become the first team to be setting up tee times? I think so, I may be wrong, but I doubt it. This team without big Z has played so well this series and Bryzgalov looks like he wants out of Phoenix ASAP! Didn't look like he actually gave a damn during Franzen's breakaway goal over his glove. He just kinda stood there... anyways... good run to get here Phoenix, it's just not it. You may be moving to Winnepeg at some point, not sure, keep your bags packed
Prediction: Red Wings 5-3
