Well, I predicted the two winners, although the scores were a bit off (I honestly did not expect such high scoring games) 20 goals were scored last night and that's more than all the Game 1's last Wednesday, and last Wednesday had 5 games! I saw the first game to a degree and I caught most of the Sharks-Kings game starting in the 2nd period.
#1 Vancouver Canucks vs #8 Chicago Blackhawks (2-7)
It was 1-1 thru the first period, and then Chicago just exploded in the second. I bailed after the Bolland goal because there was no way the Canucks were coming back from being down 4-1 against Chicago in Chicago. (I'd be damned if they did) But the third period showed what playoff hockey is really about. These guys went at it, and if I can a replay of what happened that period, I'll post my thoughts up. Dave Bolland was big as he shut down the Sedins and put up four points tonight. Could he be the key to the Blackhawks turning it around? We'll see in Game 5.
#2 San Jose Sharks vs #7 Los Angles Kings (6-5 OT)
This game... was INSANE! The Kings had a 4-0 lead early in the second and the Sharks stormed back. They scored five goals in the second and my man DEVIN SETOGUCHI won it for them in overtime. This is either a stunning comeback or an absolute letdown on the part of the Kings. Dan, our die-hard Sharks fan has more thoughts at the bayarea site. I will say this much though, Los Angeles had San Jose by the throat, but now it looks as though Los Angeles got slapped in the face after the four goal comeback.
