Friday Evening Defensemen - Week 8

I typed up the rankings after I finished the goalie rankings, but I couldn't figure out what I wanted to put in this piece up top. I spent today experimenting with the goalie ranking a bit, anyways, here's some projection numbers I pulled out:

Jason Garrison - 31 goals (proj)
Erik Karlsson and Brian Campbell - 66 assists (proj)
Brian Campbell - 74 points (proj)
Theo Peckham - 172 PIMs (proj)
Dustin Byfuglien - 301 Shots on goal (proj)
Jason Garrison - 16 PPG (proj)
Brian Campbell - 43 PPA (proj)

Anyways... to the rankings...

And then I wanted to compare the stuff I said above to previous years...

Just for comparison to previous seasons:
Last season, only Dustin Byfuglien reached the 20 goal plateau. The year before that (the 2009-2010 season) no one reached 20. During the monster season of 2008-2009, Mike Green hit 31 goals and Sheldon Souray and Shea Weber both got 23 while no one else got above 20... and I've found the source for my next article, look out for it later tonight!
