So this is the second week of goalies that I've done this season. Time to compare and contrast! By the way, since this is so late at night, and not the afternoon. (Blame the Arsenal game, BCS Games, and of course, the Winter Classic! But most of all, today was my birthday, so if I'm late... so be it...)

Biggest Movers: Jaroslav Halak(↑5), Kari Lehtonen(↓4)
Hot 5:
1. Semyon Varlamov - He's become the new hot goalie for the Caps, while the rankings do not reflect today's result, the fact that Varlamov has posted three monster games including tonight's ridiculous game against Pittsburgh makes him the hottest goalie in the NHL
2. Cory Schneider - While Luongo is the starter in Vancouver, Schneider stepped up big while he was out. Not only that, when he was given the start against Dallas, he showed that he can play, stopping 44 outta 45 shots backstopping the Canucks to a big W
3. Jaroslav Halak - Halak has won three straight, posting a shutout book-ended by games allowing 3 goals. However, three straight wins should prove he's out of his most recent funk when he got knocked around by Detroit, San Jose, and Vancouver.
4. Henrik Lundqvist - three straight games with 2 goals or less allowed, although he lost to Tampa today, it was still a good showing
5. Cam Ward- Similar stats to Halak in the past three games as well as posting two poor games before that, but he's great.
Cold 5:
1. Kari Lehtonen - notice the four spot drop on the part of Lehtonen... he hasn't won in four straight games and has been rocked his past two outings... stash him on the bench for now...
2. Antero Niitttymaki - notice that he's out of the rankigns? Niemi has supplanted him as the primary goaltender in San Jose as Niittymaki had a poor showing against Minnesota... tread cautiously with him for now...
3. Brian Boucher - in the three-way tango of the Philadelphia goaltending situation, Boucher has not made good on his opportunities as of late after posting several solid wins earlier this month. After getting lit up by Vancouver, he has not had an opportunity to play... seems like the coach will ride the hot hand for as long as possible
4. Sergei Bobrovsky - see above...
5. Carey Price - there's an easy way to drop from first to third in the span of a week... post three duds... he'll get back on track... eventually.... unless he craps out at some point... like last year...
More to come with the three S'S!
